I am excited to be re-lauching my blog today. I started a blog in 2012 and over the years I would sporadically write in it. There were always excuses for why I didn’t write – but the real reason I think I have avoided blogging was I was afraid of what others would think of my writing. In the last year, I have discovered that I have dyslexia. Writing has always been something I avoided because it takes me so long to process my thoughts in a coherent way when I am trying to get them down to words. I always worry that I don’t make sense when I am done. I have decided, however, that I am going to embrace my imperfections and put my ideas, thoughts, work, stories, and mediocre writing out there for the world to read, watch and listen to. I hope to inspire others to take risks and show their own processes unfold.
Expect to find short, visual posts on my blog. I will be sharing my classroom adventures and lesson ideas and reflections.
Since I am encouraging my students to do the same I must practice what I preach. I hope you enjoy my blog with all my mistakes and only judge the quality of my work based on how much it might help inspire you.
