Tanya Avrith is a Teacher, Curriculum and EdTech Consultant, Apple Distinguished Educator and Google Certified Innovator, Adobe Education Leader, co-author of “The Google Infused Classroom” and Education Evangelist at Adobe.
Tanya served as the lead educational technology and digital citizenship teacher at the Lester B. Pearson School Board overseeing and implementing several 1:1 initiatives with iPads, Chromebooks, BYOD and Macbooks. Tanya was instrumental in the vision and execution of the district-wide Digital Citizenship Program which resulted in her being invited to Facebook headquarters to discuss Digital Citizenship education.
Tanya has presented to teachers, administrators and fellow educational technology coaches at numerous national and international conferences including, ISTE, ASCD, and FETC. As a consultant visits schools/districts across the country to work with PreK-12 school leaders, to help plan large-scale implementation plans as well as workshops on how to use technology as a tool for learning. Along with consulting, Tanya works as a full-time teacher at North Preparatory School teaching Personal Branding and Digital Communication in Coconut Creek, Florida.
In addition to being named an Apple Distinguished Educator in 2013 and a Google Certified Innovator in 2012, Tanya is an Adobe Education Leader, Book Creator Ambassador and Flipgrid Ambassador.
Tanya holds a M.A. in Educational Technology and a B.A in Communication Studies from Concordia University in Montreal as well as a B.Ed from the University of Ottawa.
Tanya is driven to help inspire educators push their thinking and always put learning first when it comes to use technology.
